  • After dinner check-in to the hotel. (B&B Olten 3 star or similar)

    • Option 1: Visit Jungfrau (tour leader will not join this group): We will arrange tickets, drop you at the train station and pick you from the train station in the evening (going to Jungfrau is a half day event). Tour leader will not accompany you, but we will provide you with all the instructions needed.
    • Option 2: If you are not going to Jungfrau, our tour leader will guide you thru Interlaken boating, city visit, shopping, paragliding.
  • Evening: Scenic drive to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen valley (time and order might vary)

  • Ans: Yes. Throughout the tour you have possibility for veg food (Indian in most places). Usually about 50% of the travelers are vegetarians!
• I want to send my parents only. Will there be someone to guide them?
  • Ans: The tour leader will accompany the group to all attractions (unless specifically mentioned) in the tour itinerary. As long as they are physically fit for mild walks to attractions, it is not a problem. Almost every tour will have 15 to 20 elder parents. Please note that we do not have possibility for any physical assitance from our side.
• Are the tickets to the attractions reserved ahead or do we need to buy on arrival?
  • Ans: Skanda Travels will reserve the tickets in advance for the group and make necessary arrangements so that you do not have to wait in line for the tickets (except where mentioned in the itinerary in the Overview tab). Once your seats reservation is complete, Skanda Travels will communicate with you on how this will be arranged.
• Will my child also get a seat in the bus?
  • Ans: Yes. It is also a legal requirement that every person irrespective of age gets a seat.
• How is the room allocation done?
  • Ans: It is 1 room with private bathroom per family (2 adults + 1 or 2 kids). If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another person of same gender. If you are alone and you need a room for yourself, it can be arranged at an additional cost of 195 euros when requested upfront via email.
• What is the group like?
  • Ans: It is mostly Indians – singles, couples, families and elder parents.
• I’m alone. I don’t mind a same gender roommate, but not otherwise.
  • Ans: We will make sure you are either alone or with same gender roommate. You don't pay the extra for the separate single room.
• We are a group of 3 friends. Is it possible that we share the same room with an extra bed in the room?
  • Ans: This depends on availability of triple rooms. Mention this at the time of reservation by email to booking@skandatravels.com so that arrangements can be checked. Please note that the extra bed may not be comfortable for an adult and so this arrangement is not recommended by Skanda Travels.
• Do the hotel rooms have a kitchen?
  • Ans: No. These are regular hotel rooms without kitchen. We arrive at the hotel late in the evening after dinner.
• At the end of each day, I do not intend to have dinner with the group. Will you drop us to the hotel earlier?
  • Ans: Since our bus driver also has to have dinner, this is not possible. However you are welcome to take a taxi at your own cost to the hotel.
• What are the departure points?

• Can I bring along a non-Indian?
  • Ans: You may, but please do set their expectation that the crowd is primarily Indian – the languages, movies, chit chatting could all be in a different language than they can understand!

  • Ans: Unfortunately not.
• Is wheelchair assistance possible?
  • Ans: There is only one tour leader accompanying the group and they already have busy schedule managing the group. No physical assistance of any kind is possible from our side.

• Will I get to see snow in this tour?
  • Ans: Jungfrau will have snow 365 days of the year. Mt Titlis used to be that way until about 2024. But since then, due to climate change, there is hardly any snow left from July thru early October.
• What is the clothing needed?
  • Ans: up Mt Titlis, it could be cold even in summer especially if it is windy. It is better to carry winter jacket and wear it if needed (but no special boots etc needed). For other places, it is better to check the weather a day before start of tour and wear accordingly.
• The return night journey seems long?
  • Ans: True. However it looks longer than it should because we also stop for dinner and 2 toilet breaks thru the return journey. The benefits of returning overnight overweigh the discomfort. If not for this night journey, folks would need to take an extra day off just to be pretty much sitting in the bus on the return + pay extra for the night accommodation. Feedback from the folks from the previous trips has been that it was quite comfortable. We think the net inconvenience from amongst the group is for the working folks who might need to take some time off in the morning.
• Will I need to buy Swiss Pass?
  • Ans: No! Swiss Pass (costs CHF 225 per person) is required when you are travelling by yourself using Swiss public transport. In this tour, our tour bus takes us to attraction places. The transport to the places mentioned in the itinerary is already included in the pricing.

• Step 2 – 5 days before the tour, we will coordinate with you for the additional options and also send detailed pickup point information
• Important – Make sure each travelers’ passport is valid at least till end of this tour and so also Visa/Residence Permit (where applicable). Passport is mandatory to carry. Netherlands Residence Permit is not a valid travel document outside Netherlands.

Terms and conditions:

1. The rates are based on 2 persons (+ their kids) per hotel room basis. If you want single rooms or wish more than 2 beds/occupancy, please contact booking@skandatravels.com. Kids above 6yrs get an extra (sofa)bed.
2. Cancellation (cut off time is midnight CET):
   • Till 4 weeks before travel start date:  15€ per cancellation request
   • Till 2 weeks before travel start date: 50% refund
   • 1 week before travel start date: refund is not possible
3. Seat confirmation is subject to availability of seats. Confirmation mail is usually sent in 15 minutes. If not done in 24 hours, please send an email to booking@skandatravels.com or call/Whatsapp Skanda Travels at (0031) 655 456 091.
4. When you are a group of 3 people, all seats may not be possible in a single row in the 2+2 seats bus (the 3rd seat may be in 1 row in front or 1 row behind).
5. When the registrations are too few to conduct a tour, the tour will be rescheduled to a later date. You can opt for a full refund if you wish. In case of cancellation we will let you know latest by 5 days before the tour date.
6. Seating is usually done in the order of booking confirmation. If you need front/middle seats only, they you have the possibility to book them by paying a premium of 15€ per seat. Please contact Skanda Travels for this option.

   • Ans: Indian dinner is possible all days. Additionally Indian lunch is possible on the last day. Once your reservation is complete, Skanda Travels will communicate with you on how this will be arranged.
4. I am a vegetarian. Will I have options?
   • Ans: Yes. Almost 50% of the bus is usually vegetarian. When Indian food is not possible, you have possibility for sandwich, pizza, pasta, fries etc. Once your reservation is complete, Skanda Travels will communicate with you on how this will be arranged.
5. What is the clothing needed?
   • Ans: Check the weather a couple of days in advance and wear accordingly.
6. Will my child get a seat in the bus?
   • Yes. By law everyone in the bus needs to be provided a seat irrespective of the age.
7. Can I bring a stroller for my child?
   • Ans: Yes. We suggest you bring a ‘travel buggy’ which are small strollers instead of the bulky ones.
8. I’m coming alone. Will I have to share my hotel room with another person?
   • Ans: You have an option either ways. If you do not want to share you need to mention upfront in the email and it will cost €150 extra. While you will share the room within another person from the tour group, it is still your risk that you are willing to share a room with an unknown person.
9. I’m alone. I don’t mind a same gender roommate, but not otherwise.
   • Ans: Pls mention this in your email and we will make sure you are either alone or with same gender roommate.
10. We are a group of 3 friends. Is it possible that we share the same room with an extra bed in the room?
    • Ans: This depends on availability of triple rooms. Mention this at the time of reservation by email to booking@skandatravels.com so that arrangements can be checked. Please note that the extra bed may not be comfortable for an adult and so this arrangement is not recommended by Skanda Travels.
11. What is the group like?
    • Ans: It is expected to be a largely Indians – singles, couples, families and elder parents.
12. Can I bring along a non-Indian?
    • Ans: You may, but please do set their expectation that the crowd is primarily Indian – the languages, movies, chit chatting could all be in a different language than they can understand!
13. The return night journey seems long?
    • Ans: True. However the benefits overweigh the discomfort. If not for this night journey, folks would need to take an extra day off just to be pretty much sitting in the bus on the return + pay extra for the night accommodation. Feedback from the folks from the previous trips has been that it was quite comfortable. The net inconvenience from amongst the group is for the working folks who might need to take some time off in the morning. 
14. Will I need to buy any other transport tickets?
    • Ans:  No! Our tour bus takes us to attraction places. The transport to the places mentioned in the itinerary is already included in the pricing.

  • 06:35 – pick-up from Den Haag Centraal
  • 07:10 – pick-up from Schiphol airport (route 300 city bus stop)
  • 07:30 – pick-up from Amstelveen (outside bus station, near Cobra museum)
  • 07:55 – pick-up Breukelen train station (just outside, windmill side)
  • 08:55 – pickup at Eindhoven (opp Flix busstop; passport will be checked here)
  • drive to Brussels
  • afternoon: visit Grand Place, Automium, mini Europe (additional option)
  • 20:55 – check-into IBIS Hotel near Paris Airport (or similar/nearby). We stay here for 2 nights
  • Add-on options: Mini Europe, Indian lunch, dinner.
• Day 2, ( ):
  • After breakfast visit Paris: Visit Eiffel tower. Go for a boat ride on river Siene.
  • Additionally, drive past major land marks of Paris like Opera house, Louvre museum, Arc de Triumph, Invalides, Champs Elysse, Place de la Concorde, Trocadero, Notre Dame etc with brief stops where possible (depending on traffic conditions; usually we get to make stops at 2 of these points).
  • evening – Dinner, Paris light tour (by bus, includes Eiffel tower at night) and (late) return to hotel
  • Additional options: boat ride, Lift up the Eiffel Tower, Indian dinner.
• Day 3, ( ):
  • morning: drive to Disneyland. Group will spend rest of the day here. If you do not want to join for Disney, plan your own day to Louvre or Versailles and join the group at Disney train station.
  • Late evening – After Disneyland Light show and closure of Disneyland, departure to Netherlands
  • Add-on options: Disneyland tickets. (No Indian food possible on this day)
• Day 4, ( ):
  • 5:30AM – Arrival, Eindhoven
  • Dusseldorf folks can drop at Eindhoven and take a train/Flixbus to Dusseldorf. We could arrange a taxi at €175.
  • 7:20AM – Arrival, Breukelen train station
  • 7:30AM – Arrival, Amstelveen
  • 7:55AM – Arrival, Schiphol
  • 8:30AM – Arrival Den Haag

• Step 1 – book the base package (transport + sightseeing + accommodation with breakfast).
• Step 2 – 5 days before the tour, we will coordinate with you for the additional options and also send detailed pickup point information
• Important – Make sure each travelers’ passport is valid at least till end of this tour and so also Visa/Residence Permit (where applicable). Passport is mandatory to carry. Netherlands Residence Permit is not a valid travel document outside Netherlands.

Terms and conditions:

1. The rates are based on 2 adults (+ their kids) per hotel room basis. If you want single rooms or wish more than 2 beds/occupancy, please contact booking@skandatravels.com. Kids above 6yrs get an extra (sofa)bed.
2. Cancellation (cut off time is midnight CET):
   • Till 4 weeks before travel start date:  15€ per cancellation seat
   • Till 2 weeks before travel start date: 50% refund
   • 1 week before travel start date: refund is not possible
3. Seat confirmation is subject to availability of seats. Confirmation mail is usually sent in 15 minutes. If not done in 24 hours, please send an email to booking@skandatravels.com or call/Whatsapp Skanda Travels at (0031) 655 456 091.
4. When you are a group of 3 people, all seats may not be possible in a single row in the 2+2 seats bus (the 3rd seat may be in 1 row in front or 1 row behind).
5. When the registrations are too few to conduct a tour, the tour will be rescheduled to a later date. You can opt for a full refund if you wish. In case of cancellation we will let you know latest by 5 days before the tour date.
6. Seating is usually done in the order of booking confirmation. If you need front/middle seats only, they you have the possibility to book them by paying a premium of 15€ per seat. Please contact Skanda Travels for this option.

1. What are the other costs I need to keep in mind?
   • Ans: Please click the costs & terms tab and scroll down for the add-on options for this tour. 
2. Are the tickets to the attractions reserved ahead or do we need to buy on arrival?
   • Ans: Skanda Travels will reserve the tickets in advance for the group. However in Paris it is not always possible to make confirmed advance group reservations and so it could happen that the group has to stand in the regular line. Once your seat reservation is complete, Skanda Travels will communicate with you on how this will be arranged.
3. Are food arrangements also made?
   • Ans: Breakfast (Continental) at the hotel is already included it the price. For lunch there will be a break and the tour leader will brief you the options where you can help yourself. Indian dinner will be arranged on most days and you can opt for it (At Disneyland there is no Indian food option). If you do not want to opt for it, you will have other options nearby. Once your reservation is complete, Skanda Travels will communicate with you on how this will be arranged.
4. Is there possibility for vegetarian food in this trip?
   • Ans: Yes. Throughout the tour you have possibility for veg food (Indian in most places). Usually about 50% of the travelers are vegetarians!
5. I want to send my parents only. Will there be someone to guide them?
   • Ans: The tour leader will accompany the group to all attractions in the tour itinerary. As long as they are physically fit for mild walks to attractions, it is not a problem. Please note that this is a city tour and so the bus will not go to the door step of the attractions. Ability to walk upto 500mts is required.
6. Will I get a seat for my child in the bus?
   • Ans: Yes. It is also required by law that everyone should have their own seat irrespective of the age
7. Can I bring baby stroller?
   • Ans: Yes.
