- Day 2, ( ):
- After breakfast visit Paris: Visit Eiffel tower. Go for a boat ride on river Siene.
- Additionally, drive past major land marks of Paris like Opera house, Louvre museum, Arc de Triumph, Invalides, Champs Elysse, Place de la Concorde, Trocadero, Notre Dame etc with brief stops where possible (depending on traffic conditions; usually we get to make stops at 2 of these points).
- evening – Dinner, Paris light tour (by bus, includes Eiffel tower at night) and (late) return to hotel
- Additional options: boat ride, Lift up the Eiffel Tower, Indian lunch, dinner.
- Day 3, ( ):
- check-out from the hotel and depart to Swiss (about 600 KMS).
- afternoon, midway lunch break at a highway rest area. Indian lunch boxes possible (add-on)
- Evening – Dinner, visit Zurich city

- 09:30 PM, check-in to Holiday Inn Express hotel or similar near Zurich

- Day 4, ():
- After breakfast visit Rhinefalls, scenic drive to Lucerne; visit Mt Stanserhornbahn (add-on) to go up an Alps mountain.
- After dinner check-in to the hotel. (Holiday Inn Express, Luzern or similar)
- Additional paid options: boat ride at Rhinefalls, train+cablecar up the Mt Stanserhorn , Indian dinner.
- Day 5, ():
- Scenic drive to Interlaken.
- Visit Aare Gorge
- Option 1: If you want to plan for Jungfrau on your own, we will drop you at the train station and pick you from the train station in the evening (going to Jungfrau is a half day event).
- Option 2: If you are not going to Jungfrau, our tour leader will guide you thru Interlaken boating and a visit to Interlaken town
- After dinner, back to the same hotel as previous day.
- Additional paid options: ferry ride in Interlaken lake, paragliding, trek at Aare Gorge Indian lunch, dinner.
- Day 6, ():
- morning: We go to Engelberg. From there you have the option to go to Mt Titlis by cable car.
- evening: visit Lucerne town.
- At 18:15 depart to Netherlands. Dinner stop will be on the way.

- 6:00AM – Arrival, Eindhoven

You can opt for below options during the tour. Once you have confirmed your seats, Skanda Travels will communicate with you separately to know your options.
Booking Procedure:
- Step 1 – book the base package (transport + sightseeing + accommodation with breakfast).
- Step 2 – 7 days before the tour, we will coordinate with you for the additional options and also send detailed pickup point information
- Note: Make sure you have valid passport and Visa/RP until the date you are back from the tour.
Terms and conditions:
- The rates are based on 2 adults (+ their kids) per hotel room basis. If you are alone and want single rooms OR need more than 2 beds/occupancy, please contact [email protected] Kids above 6yrs get an extra (sofa)bed.
- Cancellation (cut off time is midnight CET):
- Till 4 weeks before the tour: cancellation charges of 15€ per request
- Till 2 weeks before the tour: 50% of the cost will be refunded
- Till 1 week before the tour: 25% of the cost will be refunded
- Within 1 week of start of the tour: Cost is non-refundable
- Due to last minute falling sick from Corona before the tour: 70% of the cost will be forwarded to a trip in the future. Remaining 30% is non-refundable (Note: We strongly recommend you take a separate travel insurance as well).
- Payments towards add-on activities (boat ride, cable car etc) are fully refundable till 24hrs before the activity.
- Seat confirmation is subject to availability of seats. Confirmation will normally be done within 24 hrs. If not done in 24 hours, please send an email to [email protected] or call/Whatsapp Skanda Travels at (0031) 655 456 091.
- When you are particular about seating position in the bus (front/middle etc), it is possible to make confirmed booking by paying a premium of 25€ per seat. Else seating is usually done in the booking confirmation order with minor deviations where required.
- When you are a group of 3 people, all seats may not be possible in a single row in the 2+2 seats bus. The 3rd seat could be 1 row ahead or back.
- Skanda Travels strongly recommended to have your own travel insurance in these Corona times.
- There could be minor variations to the itinerary made just before or during the tour to make the most suitable plan as per the corona rules in different countries.
COVID rules
- All 12yrs+ must be fully vaccinated. [Fully vaccinated: 7 days past 2nd dose of your COVID vaccination namely Pfizer/Moderna/Covishield; Additionally booster dose if last vaccination was more than 270 days ago].
- COVAXIN: boostered with Pfizer/Moderna OR negative (antigen) test taken within 36hrs of tour start time
- Unvaccinated: negative (Antigen) test taken within 36hrs of tour start time
- No CORONA illness related symptoms when boarding.
- It is a legal requirement to wear a mask at all times by everyone 11yrs+ when inside the bus
- Quarantine is not required on arrival in France/Belgium
- Quarantine is not required on arrival back in The Netherlands
- If you fall ill with Corona during the tour, you (and family) must immediately quarantine. While Skanda Travels will help with the arrangements, costs will have to be borne by yourself (we suggest you buy a travel insurance separately to cover such risks).
- Seat numbers will be allocated at the start of the tour. Changing seats outside of family/same group is not allowed.
- Prevailing group travel rules of each country (Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland) will be followed.
- 100% refund of your money if we cancel the tour
- 25% refund if you have to cancel due to catching COVID-19 upto 8hrs before the start of the tour.
FAQ
- What are the other costs I need to keep in mind?
- Ans: Please click the ‘Costs and Terms’ tab and refer the checkboxes list below the cost table.
- Are the tickets to the attractions reserved ahead or do we need to buy on arrival?
- Ans: We will reserve the tickets in advance for the group. However it may not always possible to make confirmed advance group reservations and so it could happen that the group has to stand in the regular line. Once your seat reservation is complete, we will communicate with you on how this will be arranged.
- Are food arrangements also made?
- Ans: Breakfast (Continental) at the hotel is already included it the price. For lunch there will be a break and the tour leader will brief you the options where you can help yourself. Indian dinner will be arranged on most days and you can opt for it. If you do not want to opt for it, you will have other options nearby. Once your reservation is complete, we will communicate with you on how this will be arranged.
- Is there possibility for vegetarian food in this trip?
- Ans: Yes. Throughout the tour you have possibility for veg food (Indian in most places). Usually about 50% of the travelers are vegetarians!
- I want to send my parents only. Will there be someone to guide them?
- Ans: The tour leader (or driver) will accompany the group to all attractions in the tour itinerary. As long as they are physically fit for mild walks to attractions, it is not a problem. Please note that the vehicle may not go to the door step of the attractions. Ability to walk up to 500mts one way is required.
- Will I get a seat for my child?
- Ans: Yes. It is also required by law that everyone should have their own seat irrespective of the age.
- Can I bring baby stroller?
- Ans: Yes.
- I’m coming alone. Will I have to share my hotel room with another person?
- Ans: You have an option either ways. Please select the right option when filling the booking form. Please read and understand the risks of sharing your room with an unknown person.
- We are a group of 3 friends. Is it possible that we share the same room with an extra bed in the room?
- Ans: This depends on availability of triple rooms. Mention this at the time of reservation by email to [email protected] so that arrangements can be checked. Please note that the extra bed may not be comfortable for an adult and so this arrangement is not recommended by us.
- What are the departure points?
- Ans: Usually near the bus/train station of the city.
- What is the group like?
- Ans: It is expected to be a largely Indians – singles, couples, families and elder parents.
- Can I bring along a non-Indian?
- Ans: You may, but please do set their expectation that the crowd is primarily Indian – the languages, movies, chit chatting could all be in a different language than they can understand!
